Why Interactive Training
In 1987, Joan was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, an incurable genetic eye condition, which will lead to total blindness. This “inspired” Joan to re-examine her priorities, and adapt to life and her gradual permanent vision loss. She decided to put all of her energy into advancing her career in fitness. The result has been her personal understanding of life’s challenges in attaining long term health and fitness and the value of embodying a healthy lifestyle. A cornerstone of her client interactive approach is inspiration through compassion, helping to guide clients by individualized fitness program with the necessary modifications to help them realize a new relationship with fitness.
Joan has been continually recognized for her commitment to fitness, her passion for exercise and the personal impact she has had on those she has felt fortunate to have worked with. Fitness Vision with Joan provides new ways for her to share her gifts with a larger audience.
Joan works as a Master Level Certified Personal Trainer and group exercise instructor at local gyms in Chicago’s western suburbs and is available for one on one training by appt. Her specialties include overall fitness and nutritional awareness, fitness for special populations including older active adults and those with special considerations or disabilities.
